Just a little thank you.
Cathryn.
There are so many people that I have to thank for making it possible for me
to have this (hopefully) amazing adventure. First of all, my mum and dad, who
are the best parents in the world!! You have both always been so supportive. You
have always encouraged my dreams and been behind me 100% in everything I have
done. Thank you Angie, for taking me to Sleat, where I found the van, and for
generally being a lovely person and a great friend! Thank you Hamish, for coming
to look at the van with me and advising me to go ahead, and for all of your help
working on the van. I couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you Annie, for
getting up early, when you didn’t have to, so that I could go to Inverness and
buy the van. Thank you Hamish, for letting me use your shed, so that we could
work on the van out of the wind and rain, and for lending me your electricity.
Thanks Matty for all your help and for lending me all your shiny new tools. Thank you Rob for all your help and kindness. Thank you to every one at the
café, for giving me time off when I needed it, helping me to pay for the van
and for my lovely barbeque, which will get plenty of use! Thank you Peter, for
putting up with me and for all of your support, I’m so glad you are coming
too, it wouldn’t be the same without you! And finally, thank you to all of my
friends who are so full of encouragement and support, I am so lucky. Thank you,
I love you all!
Peter.
Thank you Mummy and Daddy for being the best Mummy and Daddy (don’t listen
to Cathryn, you‘re the bestest) I promise I’ll be good and I will get a
proper job and some education and money and important stuff when we get back…
one day… maybe! Thank you for everything, you have been very very good to me.
Thanks Dad for "helping" install the fridge. Thanks Mandy, John and kids for driving me so mental that I want to leave Skye!
Thanks Andrew (and Dad) for getting me interested in vans, cars, stuff that should
move and other junk! Thanks loads for mol3y.co.uk, without which this wouldn’t
exist and no one would know what we are up to! Thanks Cathryn for convincing me that my van was crap and that I
should go with you cause I wouldn’t have made it past Glasgow and I would be
cold sleeping on the floor on my own anyway! Thanks Susan for your kind words
and support. We will make it, you‘ll see! I’ll never work for someone so
nice and supportive ever again (spot the sarcasm?!) Thanks Linda and Roger for
all the food, beds and letting me steal your daughter, I’ll try my best to
control her! Thanks to all my friends for being friendly (you know who you are).
Special thanks to Dunc for lighting up our lives (perhaps that should be thanks
NVA and Storr... never mind) Thanks Rob, without you the van would be great! Thanks for everything you‘ve
given us, thank you for being so kind. Don’t be too jealous! Thanks to Dom and
Ella for the fridge, milk might last longer than a day now! Finally thanks to
everyone who helped us in any way, especially to all the kind people who broke
their backs helping us put the roof rack on and those with the intention to help but
came 5 minutes too late!! Sorry if I didn’t
mention anyone, consider yourself a friend (you were mentioned above!) xx
